Cadence of her last breath

Work in progress. This is the picture I was talking about yesterday. Today I finally have enought time to draw, so this is result of my work. I quite like it, I will make som changes of shadows but anyway I'm happy about way it goes. As I already mentioned, it's inspired by Nw lyrics. And the face is inspired by Tarja, little bit. Especially the cheekbone, forehead and hair.

Nightwish- Planet Hell

The very first one Nightwish song I knew. (And still one of the bests for me) My friend, who listens to metal had this in her mobile and she used to play it to us a lot and I've became to be keen on that song, especially that begining. That "Ha-Haha-Ha"... And it was the start of biggest love of my live. So I'm very thankfull to that friend to show me Nightwish and to make me listen to better music than I used to. Well, to be fair, she doesn't listen to Nightwish, and she wasn't in that time, too, she had just about four songs in her mobile. I think it's real destiny :)

This is the only song I know from this band but I have to post it, because of it's message. This song is dedicated to one girl, Sophie Lancaster, who was kicked to death because of her goth style. She and her boyfriend were attacked by group of teenagers and after that Sophie and her boyfriend fell into a coma. Her boyfriend take out 13 days later but same day Sophie's parents decided to turn off her life supports. She was killed because of thing she loved. 24.8.2012 was the 5th anniversary of her death. We shall not let anybody do something like this again.

Nightwish- Cadence of her last breath

My upcoming art piece is inspired by this lyrics of Nightwish song. It seems like I do it on purpose but it's mostly just coincidence that I draw something according to their lyrics. I'm really looking forward to this piece but today I haven't got a lot of time to draw, so I'm affraid I will have to do it tommorrow or at the weekend.

Nails

Look at my nail polish. Great, isn't it?It's very soft green colour, but it depends on light. Sometimes it's almost white or pinky- gold. It' just beautiful. It's Gosh brand, but, unfortunately, I don't know what's the number or name of this shade. I think it might be cool 37, or something like that, but I couldn't find it on google, so I really don't know.
This is the first time I used it on my nails( I've used it on my feet before) and I'm definitely going to wear it much more in the future. ( The book I'm holding is S. King's Cujo, which I'm reading right now)

Reviews/Opinions

My opinions on books and stuff.

S. King's Misery:

This was the first King's book I've read and by chance it's one of his bests. (reportedly) It's really cool and I think a little bit scary because of how real it seems. I'm not going to tell you the whole story but I can tell you you shouldn't read it in the evening because you will have to keep on till the end till two o'clock in the morning. When I ended I was really scared and all night I had weird dreames about feet and axes. It's one of best books I've ever read, so I've read that twice. If you want something little bit insane, scary and so on, grab this book and enjoy it.

King's Dark half: 

( Interesting fact- In slovak language it's called The third eye) 

Another King's book I've read. Another brilliant book. This was even more scary, so I had to stop read it for some time. But I was younger, maybe about fourteen so it's not thaaaat scary after all. This piece is much more supernatural and dark. Well, I didn't like the end very much, for me it was little bit too much "magical" but rest of the book was perfect.

Drawing again

Today I was... Guess what. I was finnishing my Scorpio (not finnished yet) and after that I wanted to start new one. It was meant to be smiling woman but it ended up like sleeping child. Weird, isn't it? I have to say I'm quite proud of this one, because I think it's very hard to draw a child and this looks good. But, to be fair, it was just coincidence. It's photo from mobile, so it's quite low quality and dark, but I'll take better with my camera later. Picture made with 2B pencil- A4 format. About 15 minutes of work.

Kill me

This is so boring day that.. I have to make a post about it. I'm not that kind of person who has a problem with staying at home all day, because usually I'm not bored at all, but today... It's not like boring, it's Booooring with big B and infinit amount of os. I was drawing, watching tv, playing with cats, reading books and so on, but still, I feel like I have nothing to do all day. Now I'm going to read book again and then I'll try to fall asleep ( I won't because I'm not tired). Good night to all of you, hope your day was better than my. ( plus photo of my tomcat)

Scorpio progress

Today I'm working on Scorpio again. From 2 o'clock (pm) till now I was working on her hair and clothes. I've made just a little progress, obviously I'm working quite slow, but it gets it's finnal form already. So now I'm going to eat something, rest a little and go back to my art. Scorpio- Zodiac collection, work in progress(wip)

Hard working on my new picture Scorpio. In 2011 I was doing Zodiac collection- I've got taurus, virgo and pisces already, so I decided to continue. It's much harder than I thought it will be. But I really enjoy doing this one, so I was working on it practically all day. Made with pencil 2B and aquarell pencils.

Inside my head

I was trying to work with pallete-knife ( i haven't got any so I used pack of pills :D) and it ended up like this. It seemed like the mess I have in head all the time to me, so I added the little girl and it was done. Maybe about one hour of work, I don't know. Made with temperas and watercolors.

Finished

Finally I've finished this piece. I finished it this evening, I was working on it together about... five hours, I think. This is probably my first picture with real background. Even it's just kind-of-abstract forest. Made with pencils 2B, 4B, 5B, 8B and aquarell pencils.
I don't know about the tittle. I probably check some NW lyrics and find domething compatible with this piece.

Exhausted

Hi, my darlings,

Today I was in library and shopping and right now, I don't know why I'm totally tired, literaly exhausted. But it was worth it, because I finally have identification to library. I have lended three books already- S.King- Cujo, S.King- Girl who loved Tom Gordon and J.Kerouc- On the road. And we were shopping and, even when I didn't want to buy anything at the beginning, I've bought perfect long black skirt. I'm happy about that, I wanted it for long time. So now straight way into the bed. I'll show you my skirt tomorrow.

TOPFEST

This year I was on biggest rock festival in Slovakia TOPFEST. It lasts two days but I was on the second one only. Because Nightwish was there, of course. Anyway, we have seen other bands too and it was really cool experience. Finnaly after almost two months of waiting there is a report from the second day.

Cat loving

I love cats. Everybody thinks that cats are false and cunning and they just pretend love to get food and other stuff. But I love them. Because they are smart and independent. Sometimes they are arrogant and just a second after that they will overload you with their love and cuteness. Just as me. They pretend they don't care about you, but when there comes a dog, or another cat, they are madly jealous. Just as me. They need love. Just as me. They are kind of misunderstood. Just as me. ( Well, I keep telling to myself. I'm probably just boring forever alone). Sometimes they sleep all day long and, I think, it's the most happiest time of their lives. I completely understand them. I love them when they have their stupid moments and their sleepy moments, their agressive moments and their moments when they want to be alone. I love everything about them. And the best thing is when they purr so loud. Well, I love simply everything about them and all this post is just about my love to them. To make it at least little bit interesting, there are some photos of my cats.

After "long" time

Hi guys :)

I haven't written for quite a long time. (Three days :P) I was in cottage with friend and yesterday I was at vet's with my tomcat Eddie, so I didn't have enough time to write something here.
After few weeks I've got a feeling it's summer again. It's really hot outside and the sun is shinning. Every august have the same energy for me. I always think that next year (because for me summer is like little short year and september is new january) I'm going to do a lot of action things prepare for school every day (ha-ha) and so on. Try to guess how it ends everytime. Yes, it's still the same stereotyp, day after day. But in august I always think it's going to be something different this time. But who knows, maybe this time it will.

I'm preparing for weekend on cottage with my friend and her parents :) Weather is beautiful so I'm really looking forward. We will draw and paint and sunbath and read books and so on. See you guys on monday.

Happy birthday queen

     Once upon a time there was born a little girl. A little angel. Thirty five years ago Tarja Soile Susanna Turunen Cabuli was born. She was mean to be "the ice queen of North". As everybody already knows ( everybody, who knows Nightwish) she was their singer for ten years but they broke up on 21.10.2005 ( aka the saddest day of modern music) and she started her solo carrier. She already has two solo albums and she's working on live DVD and new album.
     I want to say Happy Birthday, our queen. Thank you for sharing your beautiful voice, soul and personality
with us. You are someone special.

New things for art

Today I've bought some things for my art stuff. There was art week in one shop, so there were good things for even better prices. I've got three small canvas and 12 brushes so I'm really happy about that :) Here they are:

I wish the brushes will be good and later, when I will be able to actually paint with them, I'll make some good pictures on this canvas. Keep your fingers crossed for me :)

New stuff

Today I was shopping with two friends and I've bought two amazing things. First one is dark blue short laced skirt from New Yorker (it costs only 5€) and the second is this big ring from Gate ( only 0,48€) I was thinking I'll paint something on it but I don't know, I like it how simply it is. Well, I'll see.

Best moments

I love moments like this. I'm listening to Beethoven's Moonlight sonata ( No, not Bieber. Bee-tho-ven. Just one man that created some of most beautiful pieces of music in world) and everybody in house is already asleep so it's absolutely quite in here. It's little bit cold so I've got big, warm sweatshirt and everything is so calm and peaceful. And than there comes Vivaldi's Winter! And that silence becomes more scary and powerful and little bit tragic.
And there is also Carmina Burana, Habanera and 9th symphony....! With every single song, night is little bit different.

American girl

My friend just came back from USA and she brought us some presents. We get sweets from Wonka (it doesn't exist in our country) and pencils from Washington D.C. The sweets were really good. They were... Sweet. Surprise! :D

Progress

Here's a litle progress of my work. I've chosen this color of hair because I didn't want her to be just redhead I wanted her hair to shine and glow. I think it looks kind of unreal and I like that. That's what I wanted. I also worked on my other picture today but it ended up completely horrible. I've ruined that picture and that's real shame (at least for me) beause it was one my bests, I think. It's the "Come cover me" picture. Probably I'll use that idea again, I like it very much. If you want share your opinion, just do that I will apreciate it.
